Ingredients...

We are surrounded by products in the grocery store. In fact, there are more products then there is whole foods. So one thing I have learned to do is read labels, understand ingredients, learn what's ok and what to stay away from.

One of the biggest obstacles for the clients I work with is knowing what products offer quality ingredients and which ones do not. Because let's be real, companies like to be tricky. They have great marketing teams that use lingo we're looking for and they know how to entice us to buy... and then buy again.

They have us wrapped around their finger, so it's our job to become savvy shoppers who know how to read ingredients and be able to pick out a good product.

Skills...

Being a savvy shopper takes skills. But believe it or not, it's not as challenging as you may think. It's about starting somewhere.

Yes, you will always need to read ingredients. However, the more you practice, the easier it becomes.

I have been reading the ingredients on labels for 20 years. First it started for spotting gluten and dairy, then sugar and now... everything else. Reading labels has now become second nature. It's what I do. And because of that, I really understand ingredients and products.

I want to share these skills with you....

Simplicity...

Having a pantry filled with food that promotes health also promotes your ability prepare healthy food. Because when your pantry is working right, so can you.

It has taken me a while to master a healthy kitchen and pantry, one that's ready for me to prepare healthy food and offer healthy snacks to my family.

This process has simplified my life immensely.

Because I know what to buy, where to buy it and my pantry and fridge are no longer filled with junk or food that will go to waste. I crave simplicity and having a pantry that works for you is one way to get it.

Health...

Cooking healthy food is one thing. Knowing great products that promote health that have good ingredients is another. And here's the thing: once you learn this, you'll know it forever. It's not hard work, it's about living a real healthy life, simply.

Over the last year I ran two cooking clubs, which taught participants quick, healthy meals. We also covered ingredients, products, and kitchen hacks.

This pantry overhaul is a crash course. One that will leave you feeling armed with knowledge on ingredients, brand awareness and some of my savvy and simplifying kitchen hacks. What we discuss will be personalized to you and your needs.
