The body holds the answers we seek.
Meditation is a practice that is explored by many but not all forms of meditation bring us to the same place or have the same outcome. Some forms of meditation can encourage us to dissociate, disengage and seek states of bliss which can create a disconnection to yourself and your body. This disconnection can make it hard to keep a meditation practice as it can drive us to bypass the messages from our body, further disconnecting us from the self and not allowing us to reap the healing benefits. However, meditation has the ability to repair and cultivate a deep connection and relationship with the body, honouring it as a sacred vessel. The body is not meant to just been seen, but to also be heard and felt.
This is the purpose of embodiment practices + meditation.
Embodiment is the ability to be with your body, to connect to all of it’s parts in a present state, building a stronger connection with experiences happening in the moment.
Within each of us is a rainbow of emotions, feelings and sensations. Through the experience of embodied meditation, you have the capacity to sense, feel, and explore what is happening inside your body, rather than what is happening inside of our head. This process involves less thinking and brings us into a space that allows for more feeling and being in presence with the body. When we amplify the voice of the body, we take our healing journey to a new place.
Through embodied meditation you can learn your body’s unique language, which will inform you of it’s needs, desires and innate intelligence.
When we listen to the messages from our body, we start to unravel what we’ve been told by the outside world about
our body
our feelings
our sensations
and who we are or who we should be.
By turning inward builds our capacity to strengthen our intuitive nature and receptivity about what we need, opening the door to unearth our truth.
This is about drowning the external noise to hear our inner body’s wisdom.
When you learn embodiment practices, you will start to hear, notice and feel sensations from our body. This is done through body scans, gentle movements, slowing down with focused intention, harnessing mindfulness with your five senses and much more. The more you practice, the more you flex this inner muscle, finally allowing your body to be seen, felt and heard. From this place you can more deeply connect with what you need, want and desire with deep truth and certainty.
Embodiment work is a practice and experience that will transform your relationship to yourself.
In this space we are no longer working towards becoming; the hustle, the grind and over achieving. But rather, we are actively and intentionally UN-BECOMING, slowing down and doing less so we can feel from within. Here we can release all the external messages we’ve carried, and slowly start to build a deeply and more profound relationship with our body and spirit.
Embodiment work and meditation is a lifelong practice, as the body always has something to share. The more we tune in and strengthen our connection, the more available we can access this inner wisdom.
UN-BECOMING is a six week live virtual journey through the experience of embodiment practices and meditation.
Each session is one hour in length every Saturday morning for 6 weeks.
In each session you receive:
a lesson focused on embodiment practices that you can continuously return to.
a guided embodied meditation that leads you into the body, inviting + guiding on inward journey.
journal prompts after the meditation and time for writing your thoughts and experience.
an opportunity for asking questions and to share your experience with the practice, if you feel called to do so.
Embodiment lessons and meditations will be recorded and emailed after each session. Sharing and questions will not be recorded due to confidentiality purposes.
Over the course of six weeks, you will have cultivated a deeper connection and relationship to your body, having felt, seen and heard her, your body, by practicing and exploring embodiment practices.
This journey is for all women who desires to strengthen their connection and relationship to their body.
